Cooks‘Wares Proudly welcomes back VIRGINIA WILLIS. Raised in the South among consummate Southern cooks, Virginia is a French trained chef, television producer, food stylist, cooking teacher and food writer. A
graduate of L‘Academie de Cuisine and Ecole de Cuisine LaVarenne, Virginia honed her attention to detail as the Kitchen Director for
Martha Stewart Living Television; supervising the food segments for the show, as well as preparing private meals and events for Martha and her guests. Virginia‘s been international, but she has returned to Atlanta, her roots, her family and the foods of her heritage. Bringing together traditional French technique with the soul of Southern cooking, Virginia has developed a style of her own which she calls ―refined Southern cuisine. These influences are showcased in her James Beard nominated
cookbook, Bon Appétit, Y‘All, Recipes and Stories from Three Generations of Southern Cooking. With her ―simple is best -- philosophy, Virginia‘s recipes are perfect for the family home kitchen, displaced Southerner‘s yearning for a taste of home, aspiring cooks, and anyone who just appreciates good food!
