Cheesecakes are a challenge, as anyone who has tried to make them will tell you. They crack, break, get too done on the outside and not done enough on the inside, and other frustrating scenarios. Well, Cooks‘Wares and Karen Harmon come to your rescue! Karen bakes and sells her cheesecakes to Dorothy Lane Market in the Dayton area, and their high standards for quality are legendary. Sooo..Karen knows what she‘s talking about when she takes you step by step through the cheesecake making and baking process. There will be a few extras thrown in as well. So come and learn and leave your cheesecake frustrations behind.

Karen Harmon is a new instructor at Cooks‘Wares. She is the chef/owner of Karen‘s Culinary Creations in Dayton, Ohio. A graduate of Sinclair Community College with degrees in both Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management, Karen has participated successfully in several culinary competitions sanctioned by the ACF ( American Culinary Federation). She has worked in restaurants, but now she owns her own business and bakes and sells her cheesecakes and her granola to local gourmet markets, including Dorothy Lane Market in the Dayton area. Karen is delighted to join us at Cooks‘Wares to share her expertise and enthusiasm. We welcome her!
