Aloha!! If you dream of Hawaiian breezes and sand and surf, but just aren‘t going to get there this year, come to Cooks‘Wares and let Chris take you on his own special guided tour of the islands. Perfect for this lazy summer season, these recipes will inspire you to have your own luau Aloha!

Sushi

  • Ahi Poke—a traditional tuna salad

  • Imu Pork—barbecued pork

  • Lomi Lomi Salmon—fresh tomato and salmon

  • Chicken Long Rice

  • Haupia—coconut pudding
Christopher Weist, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, has taught adult-education cooking classes at UCLA. He has worked coast-to-coast with several nationally known chefs and TV celebrities. This Cincinnati native has appeared locally on the Fox Morning News, and is a member of the Advisory Board for Diamond Oaks. He is currently Catering Chef for McHale‘s Catering in Kentucky. Chris‘s cooking style encourages students to experiment with ingredients and to have fun!
